Goat Cheese with Pecans and Honey

This is by far the easiest and quickest appetizer I have ever made.  This time of year we are all really busy.  My schedule is packed with the boys’ basketball practice, holiday concerts, parties, dinners, cookie exchanges…….and  well you know what I’m talking about.  Even though it is very busy, I really love this time of the year.  This is my go to recipe for a quick cheese appetizer.

Goat Cheese with Pecans and Honey

Goat Cheese with Pecans and Honey

Ingredients:

Log of Goat Cheese

Chopped Pecans

Honey

Method:

Chop ¼ cup of pecans for a small log of goat cheese.  Chop ½ cup of pecans if you are using a large log of goat cheese.  Roll the log of goat cheese in the pecans (or nuts of your choice).  Drizzle honey over the pecan crusted goat cheese.  Use really good honey.  It has a better flavor.  Serve with your favorite crackers.

This looks great! I did something similar over Thanksgiving, rolling the cheese in finely diced Canadian bacon and cilantro.

I’ve noticed you’re a cheese gal. Are you a DiBruno’s fan? Old City Cheese? Where in Philly are you cheese shopping?
